Educational material

The STEM in Action project has two intellectual outputs, the first one is a set of online courses designed to equip teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in STEM education. The courses are tailored to the specific needs of preschool, primary, and branch teachers and will be available for free with a certificate of completion. The courses are based on the results of a STEM awareness survey and SWOT analysis applied to teachers and students in the project design phase. The second output is a set of curriculum and materials of STEM education, which will be used by teachers and students of the education faculties in the partnership countries. The materials will be divided into three categories: for preschool, for primary school, and for branches and will be available in different languages. These materials will be used in the modules of the online courses and will be designed to equip the target audiences with innovative approaches regarding STEM education.

1. Online STEM Trainer Training Courses

The first intellectual output of the STEM in Action project is the STEM awareness surveys and SWOT analysis that were applied to teachers and students in the project design phase. The surveys aimed to assess the current state of STEM education and practices among the target audiences, and the results showed that participants were eager to receive STEM education but lacked information and resources. The SWOT analysis identified opportunities for improvement through the creation of innovative modules within the scope of the project. These modules are designed for three target groups: pre-school teachers, primary school teachers, and branch teachers. The modules are prepared by Tarsus University, University of Paderborn, and Munster Technological University, respectively, and will be free of charge with a certificate of completion issued by the university. The modules will include a variety of topics such as STEM education and applications, engineering design, and robotic applications. The online courses will be flexible and collaborative, allowing teachers to learn at their own pace and schedule. The coordination of the intellectual outputs and activities will be distributed among the partners according to their specific expertise.

2. STEM Trainer Training Curriculum

The second intellectual output of the STEM in Action project is a set of curriculum and materials of STEM education. These materials have been created to be used by teachers and students of the education faculties in the countries where the partnership is established. The curriculum materials will be divided into three categories: for preschool, for primary school, and for branches. These materials will be used in the modules of the online courses and will be designed to equip the target audiences with innovative approaches regarding STEM education. The materials will be developed by the partnership organizations and will be shared among the partners countries. The curriculum materials will be available in different languages, so that they can be used by as many teachers and students as possible.
